CFMH News Comments Off

Just wanted to let everyone in on the good news that Slack Sabbath will officially be going on again next semester with one small change that will hopefully appease most working folks - we'll be moving to 5pm! That's right, all semester long, wonderful people of all ages can come on down to Col. Tuckers on Fridays at 5pm to soak in FREE live music and some of the cheapest drinks in town. NEW! Online Faculty/Staff Library Book Order Request Form

Can’t find your pen? Got writer's cramp from filling out all those book order forms? If so then take a look at: http://www.lib.unb.ca/wcl/services/order.html where you’ll find our Book Order Request form in an online format. The form lets Faculty and Staff conveniently input all the information required to order a book without ever picking up a pen. Once submitted the forms go directly to Gail Correia’s mailbox and are processed in the same efficient manner as always. We are still accepting the hand written order slips, or you may contact the liaison librarian in your field.

We’d like to introduce you to Wayne Hansen

Doc3.jpg Wayne arrived at UNBSJ from IBM Canada early in 1998. He has held various positions in the ITS department and currently manages the Student Technology Centre located in WCL 22. Which means that his days are spent leading a team of staff members dedicated to helping students resolve any hardware and software issues they may have. In his down time Wayne makes winter bearable by hitting the ice and reliving his dream of being an NHL superstar, however this year winter will be a little easier since Wayne plans to travel to both Kenya and Dubai. I’m sure he’ll be happy to share photos of his trip when he gets back, so stop by and say hello to Wayne in the New Year.

Are you one of the people we are looking for?

Quiet Please

SHHH.JPGExams are underway and for the next three weeks, we need your cooperation to keep the noise level in the library to an absolute minimum. We will be doing frequent rounds to discourage noise and cell phone use, but please let us know if noise is keeping you from studying. During the exam period, we are filled close to capacity, and there are a lot of students in a relatively small space but if everyone does their part we can keep the library quiet. Please respect your fellow students need for quiet. Your cooperation will be appreciated!
